What is happening?

Licensing Act 2003
Notice of application for variation
of a Premises Licence

Notice is hereby given that Star Pubs Trading Limited has
applied for a variation of a Premises Licence in respect of
premises known as Cross Keys, New Road, Snydale,
Pontefract WF7 6HB. The variation proposed is as
follows:- 1. Amend the licensing plan in accordance with
drawing number CK/SPB/LIC 1 B dated July 2026 which
accompanies the variation, and to permit the sale of alcohol
externally from an outdoor bar servery. Please note that the
amendments to the licensing plan are not to take effect until
the works are complete and the Licensing Authority is
notified. 2. Amend the standard and non-standard
opening hours timings to 08:00. 3. To permit off sales.
4. Remove the provision of facilities for entertainment
of a similar description to that falling within I or J as
this is no longer a licensable activity. 5. Remove certain
existing Annex 2 conditions. A copy of the application
can be inspected at the offices of Licensing Office,
Wakefield Council, Wakefield One, PO Box 700, Burton
Street, Wakefield, WF1 2EB (

This application was lodged with Wakefield Council on
4 August 2026 and any representations must be made in
writing to Wakefield Council at the above address no later
than 1 September 2026.
It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act
2003 to make a false statement in or in connection with
this application. Those who make a false statement may be
liable on summary conviction to a fine of any amount.
