What is happening?

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925 Pension Fund name: C&J Clark Pension Fund ("the Fund") Current Employer name: C&J Clark (No 1) Limited

The Trustee of the C&J Clark Pension Fund ("the Trustee" and "the Fund", respectively) hereby gives notice for the purpose of Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Fund is to be wound up in accordance with its governing provisions.

The Trustee wishes to trace any persons who believe that they may have any right to benefits from the Fund. Information in relation to the winding-up has already been sent by the Trustee to known members and beneficiaries.

You do not need to contact the Trustee or otherwise respond to this notice if you have received correspondence from the Trustee regarding the wind up of the Fund, or if you have transferred your Fund benefits to another pension scheme or arrangement.

If you have not recently been contacted by the Trustee, please contact Hymans Robertson (the Fund's administrator) in writing by 31 December 2025 if:

  • you were, or are, a member of the Fund, or believe you have any other interest, claim or entitlement in relation to the Fund (whether as a spouse, civil partner, child or dependant of a deceased member, or a creditor of the Fund); or
  • you believe your benefits were transferred to the Fund from any other retirement benefit scheme.

Please provide full details of your claim and any benefits that you think you are entitled to, and include your full name (and any former names by which you may have been known), current address, date of birth, national insurance number, the period when you worked for Clarks (if relevant) and any documentation supporting your claim.

If you want to make a claim, you must contact the Trustee by the claim's deadline of 31 December 2025. After this date, the Trustee will, in reliance on Section 27 of the 1925 Act, distribute any remaining assets and wind up the Fund. If you do not contact the Trustee regarding any claim within this period, the Trustee will not be liable for any claim you make regarding the Fund.
