Royal Oak Road - Temporary Prohibition Ofvehicular Traffic For Pole Replacement

What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
 TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC144675263: The City of Manchester (Royal Oak Road, Baguley Ward)(Temporary Prohibition ofVehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Royal Oak Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Hall Lane, Nearcroft Road, Wellfield Road, Royal Oak Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate pole replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 13th August 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The order shall come into operation on the 13th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 31st July 2025. 

ORDER NO. MCC144678271: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Didsbury East Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Wilmslow Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, Parrs Wood Road, Parrs Wood Avenue, School Lane, Kingsway, Queensway, Parrs Wood Lane vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate bridge examination. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 12th August 2025 to the 14th August 2025 between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00. The order shall come into operation on the 12th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
