Section 27 notice

British Steel Pension Scheme

Date of publication of this notice: 28 July 2025 This notice is given pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 (as amended). Notice is hereby given that B.S. Pension Fund Trustee Limited (the "Trustee") is intending to wind up the British Steel Pension Scheme (the "Scheme").

The Scheme relates only to those former members of the Old British Steel Pension Scheme who made an individual election to transfer to the Scheme with effect from March 2018. Anyone who believes they may be entitled to benefits from the Scheme and has not already been contacted by the Trustee is required to send particulars in writing of their claimed entitlement, together with details of their full name, address, date of birth and the period when they were in pensionable service and employed at Tata Steel UK Limited or a former participating employer, to B.S. Pension Fund Trustee Limited, 3rd Floor 1 Ashley Road, Altrincham, WA14 2DT no later than 2 months from the date of this notice.

To ensure that the Trustee receives notice of any such particulars, the Trustee recommends that particulars of any claims are sent by a guaranteed delivery method.

Please note that you do not need to contact the Trustee in relation to this notice if you fall into one of the following categories, because your interest in the Scheme has already been recognised:

•  you have already been notified of the formal commencement of the Scheme's wind up process in the June 2025 edition of News Brief sent to you by the Trustee,

•  you are already receiving a pension from the Scheme,
•  you have made a claim for benefits from the Scheme and received a response.

Please also note that you are not entitled to benefits under the Scheme if you chose to transfer out of the Scheme in the past or if you remained a member of the Old British Steel Pension Scheme in 2018.

After the expiry of the 2-month period referred to above, the Trustee will proceed with the necessary steps to effect the completion of the wind up of the Scheme. The Trustee will not be liable to any person of whose claim they have not had notice before the expiry of the 2-month period.
