PUBLIC NOTICE By THE RALEIGH PENSION SCHEME

Please be advised that the Trustees of the Raleigh Pension Scheme (Scheme) are in the process of preparing to wind up the Scheme. It is expected that all known liabilities of the Scheme will be insured in full by the end of 2024 and that all benefits will be secured by the issue of individual annuity policies by the end of June 2025.

Any person (whether member, creditor or other) having a claim against or claiming to be beneficially interested in the Scheme (whether as a member, widow, widower or other dependant of a member or otherwise) is required to submit details in writing of their claim or interest.

If you have been contacted by the Trustees or have received correspondence from the Trustees in the last two years, or if you are currently in receipt of a pension from the Scheme, there is no need to respond to this notice.

However, if you think you are entitled to benefits under the Scheme but have not recently been contacted by the Trustees, and you worked for Raleigh UK Limited, on a permanent basis, at any time between 1st October 1987 and 31st December 2002 and made contributions into the Scheme, please contact the Trustees via the Scheme’s website giving brief details of your employment record with Raleigh UK Limited together with name, address, and contact details. The Scheme’s website is at www.raleighpension.co.uk.

Beneficiaries should make claims as set out above not later than 2 months from the date of this notice. As noted above, the Trustees are in the process of securing benefits with an insurance company for the members and beneficiaries of the Scheme.

Therefore, the Trustees want to ensure that their records include all members and beneficiaries so that the correct benefits are insured. If the Trustees do not hear from you, they will proceed with the insurance of the Scheme’s benefits, having regard to the claims and interest of which they have received notice.

The Trustees of the Raleigh Pension Scheme.

This notice is provided under section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925.
