NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
Medway Packaging Pension Scheme (“the Scheme”)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that Medway Packaging Pension Trustee Limited (“the Trustees”) intend to wind-up the Scheme shortly.
This notice is addressed to employees or former employees of Medway Packaging Limited (including the divisions/parts known as Medway Sacks, Medway Plastic Packaging and Medway Packaging Systems), Medway Sacks Limited, Medcoat Limited, Frantschach Holding Limited, Frantschach Industrial Packaging Limited, AssiDoman Medcoat Limited or AssiDoman Medway Packaging Limited, who believe that they were members of the Scheme.
If you are or were an employee of any of the above-named companies and believe you are or were a member of the Scheme (or you are a widow, widower, ex-spouse who has rights to benefits deriving from pension sharing orders or a child or dependent of such an employee or former employee) who is entitled to benefits under the Scheme, and have not received any correspondence from the Trustees about your potential benefits or the winding-up of the Scheme please contact the Trustees within two months of the date of this notice using the following details:

Please provide full details of the benefits to which you believe you are entitled, alongside your full name, address, date of birth, NI number and details of when you worked for the employer of the Scheme. Please quote the Scheme name in all correspondence.
It is the Trustees’ intention to complete the wind up of the Scheme and secure benefits for members and beneficiaries towards the end of 2024. If you do not contact the Trustees by 5 November 2024 the Trustees will complete the wind up of the Scheme and distribute the remaining assets of the Scheme having regard only to the claims and interests of which the Trustees had notice. The Trustees will not be liable to any other person of whose claim the Trustees did not have notice.
If you already receive a pension from the Scheme, and/or you have already received a communication from the Trustees about the Trustees’ intention to buy out the benefits and wind-up the Scheme, then you do not need to take any action as we already have details about your entitlement under the Scheme. Similarly, any person who has already made a claim and received a response need not re-apply to the Trustees.
