Rose Lane (C40) Ripley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rose Lane (C40) Ripley which extends from its junction with High Street (B2215) to the Southwards for a 20m. Alternative Route – High Street (B2215), Portsmouth Road (B2215), Clandon Road (A247), The Street (A247), Epsom Road (A246), The Street (A247) and Ripley Lane (C40). 

The Order is required to allow Affinity water to carry out water works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 4 November 2023. However, the closure is anticipated to be in place for 24 hours per day.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained with in the closure.

Little Hammer Lane (D5508) Hindhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 (order date) Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Little Hammer Lane (D5508) Hindhead which extends from its junction with Old Bramshott Chase (D5508) to its junction with Upper Hammer Lane (D5508). Alternative Route – Little Hammer Lane (D5508), Old Bramshott Chase (D5508), High Pitfold (D5507), Glen Lea (D5507), Nutcombe Lane (D5507), Hindhead Road (A287), Critchmere Hill (D5508), Woolmer Hill Road (D5508), Upper Hammer Lane (D5508) and Little Hammer Lane (D5508) or the same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow Southeast Water to carry out water works which is anticipated to be completed within 3 nights, between 6:00pm and 5:00am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence On 6 November 2023. However, the closure is anticipated to be in place for 24 hours per day. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained via signed diversion route.

D6919 Avern Road and D6917 Molesey Park Road, West Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in:- a) The entire length of D6919 Avern Road, West Molesey.

Alternative Route:- B369 Walton Road, D6920 Grange Road, D6918 Beauchamp Road and D6918 Glebelands. b) That length of D6917 Molesey Park Road, West Molesey that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D6922 Ray Road, to the western side of its junction with D6916 Spencer Road. Alternative Route:- D6916 Spencer Road, D6918 Beauchamp Road and D6922 Ray Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out major maintenance and/ or carriageway resurfacing and/or improvement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 4 November 2023.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

A324 Dawney Hill, Pirbright
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A324 Dawney Hill, Pirbright that extends from the southern side of its junction with B3012 Gole Road, to the northern side of its junction with Caterham Close. This Traffic Order is required to enable Amberon Traffic Management to enable surveying and/or construction and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 7am, within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. No sole access to any property will be affected however access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Gole Road, Stanley Hill, Grange Road, School Lane and Dawney Hill.

D237 Gambles Lane, Ripley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D237 Gambles Lane, Ripley that extends from the access road to “The Paddocks” for a distance of 200m in each direction. This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out water mains service pipe repairs and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates. Alternative route:- Gambles Lane, Grove Heath Road, Rose Lane, Hungry Hill Lane and Gambles Lane.

Poole Lane (D3231) Stanwell
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Poole Lane (D3231) Stanwell. Alternative Route: Long Lane, and Short Lane. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stanwell Close (D3212) Stanwell as extends from its junction with (D3212) Lintott Court and for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction. There is no alternative route for this closure. This Order is required to facilitate water maintenance works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required.

Ockford Ridge (D5425) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the north to south cul- de- sac arm of Ockford Ridge (D5425) Godalming (including the turning circle at the southern end) that serves the properties No.53 to No.65. This Order is required to facilitate installation of sewer works for, or on behalf of Thakeham Partnerships Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 months between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the traffic marshalls and banksmen on site. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Foreman Road (C18) Ash
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the following lengths of Foreman Road (C18) Ash:- (a) as extends from its junction with (A323) Ash Church Road to its junction with (D4034) Foreman Park; (b) as extends from its junction with (D4034) Foreman Park to its junction with (X7267) Vyne Walk; and (c) as extends from its junction with (X7267) Vyne Walk to its junction with (X7290) Woodroffe Close. Alternative Route – Vehicular: Ash Church Road; Grange Road; and Foreman Road; Pedestrian: via Public Footpath No. 355, Ash. The Order is required to allow Section 278 development and construction works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd within the lengths of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 33 weeks between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences On 6 November 2023. These works are to be carried out in three phases, Phase 1 consisting of the works in part (a) to this Notice, anticipated to be carried out over 20 weeks commencing On 6 November 2023, Phase 2 consisting of the works in part (b) to this Notice, anticipated to be carried out over 9 weeks commencing on 24 May 2024 and Phase 3 consisting of the works in part (c) to this Notice anticipated to be carried out over 4 weeks commencing on 21 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through active works areas and all Vehicular traffic including the emergency services will be required to follow the signed diversion routes. Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists to follow the signed pedestrian diversion routes. No Sole Access will be affected.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out surface dressing and pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the circulatory carriageway comprised within the roundabout situated at or adjacent to the junctions of Send Barns Lane (A247), Portsmouth Road (A247), London Road (B2215) and Portsmouth Road (B2215) Send. 

This Order is required to enable BT/Openreach to carry out telecommunication works, which is anticipated to be completed overnight, between 8pm and 5am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 November 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Portsmouth Road and High Street.

Bookham Road (D6877) Downside
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bookham Road (D6877) Downside which comprises the Bookham Road railway bridge and 50m either side. 

This Order is required to enable Network Rail to facilitate bridge inspection works, which is anticipated to be completed overnight, between 9pm and 5am, during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 8 November 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists by marshal through the closure. There is no alternative route available for this road closure.

D214 Woodhill Lane, Shamley Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023

On 1 November 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D214 Woodhill Lane, Shamley Green that extends from its junction with B2128 The Green, to the western side of its junction with D195 Stroud Lane. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Woodhill Lane (D214) Shamley Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus to carry out water mains disconnection and/or upgrade and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 4 days of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates. Alternative route:- Woodhill Lane, The Green, Church Hill, Stroud Common and Stroud Lane.

Halfpenny Lane (D218) Chilworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Halfpenny Lane (D218) Chilworth and; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2022” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. 

Alternative Route: Blacksmith Lane, (A248) Dorking Road, (A248) Chilworth Road, Guildford Lane, and White Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 days between 8am and 6pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence On 1 December 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Green Lane (D248) Ockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Green Lane (D248) Ockham as extends from its junction with (B2039) Ockham Road North to its junction with (X248) Green Lane. 

Alternative Routes – Vehicles: Ockham Road North; East Lane; Long Reach; and Green Lane; Pedestrians: Public Bridleway No.29 Ockham; Long Reach; and Green Lane. The Order is required to allow Section 278 development and construction works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Antler Homes within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 12 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences On 4 December 2023. Access for residents and the emergency services to properties within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. All other traffic including pedestrians and cyclists will be required to use the signed diversion routes.

Litchfield Way (D4017) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Litchfield Way (D4017) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4017) Bannisters Road eastwards for a distance of approximately 60 metres. 

Alternative Route – Litchfield Way; Wilderness Road; The Crossway; and Litchfield Way. The Order is required to allow telecoms utility and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 2 days between the hours of 09.30am and 3.30pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 20 November 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Woodhill (D234) Send
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodhill (D234) Send as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Send Barns Stables” Southwestwards for a distance of approximately 37 metres. 

Alternative Route – A247 Send Barns Lane; London Road; and Woodhill. The Order is required to allow new water connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Affinity Water within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences On 6 December 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. All other vehicular traffic including the emergency services should use the signed diversion route.

Gadbridge Lane (D276) Ewhurst
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Gadbridge Lane (D276) Ewhurst which extends from its junction with Cranleigh Road to its junction with Access to the Paddocks and any parts thereof. 

This Order is required to enable UKKPN to carry out connection works and/or electrical works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 November 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Alternative Route – The Green and Cranleigh Road or vice versa.

Boxgrove Avenue (D4012) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Boxgrove Avenue (D4012) Guildford which extend from the property boundary line between Nos. 26 and 28 to the property boundary line between Nos. 32 and 34. 

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to carry out connection works and/or water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Boxgrove Avenue, London Road A3100, Boxgrove Road A25 and Boxgrove Avenue.

Rosemary Lane (D3176) Thorpe
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rosemary Lane (D3176) Thorpe as extends from its junction with the access to the “Frank Muir Memorial Field” Car Park northwestwards for a distance of approximately 45 metres. Alternative Route – Rosemary Lane; Green Road; Village Road; Western Avenue; Midway Avenue; The Bence; and Rosemary Lane. 

The Order is required to allow Section 50 foul connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Dan Mac Surfacing within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 4 days between the hours of 9am and 4pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences On 4 December 2023. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works there will be no vehicular access through the closure area, and all vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

D4007 Austen Road and D4017 Litchfield Way, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of:- a) D4007 Austen Road, Guildford. Alternative route:- Sydney Road and A246 Epsom Road. b) D4017 Litchfield Way, Guildford. Alternative route:- D4017 Wilderness Road and D4017 The Crossways. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 November 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes described. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
