Bridlington Bay Road Level Crossing - Temporary Pedestrian Prohibition

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(BRIDLINGTON BAY ROAD LEVEL CROSSING,
CARNABY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2023

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed over Bridlington Bay Road Level
Crossing, Carnaby or for a distance of approximately
40 metres either side of the level crossing. The reason for
the closure is to enable the proposed core level crossing
renewal works, to be carried out and completed in a
manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed between:
Wednesday 18 October 2023 at 21.00 hours
and Thursday 19 October 2023 at 06.30 hours
Thursday 19 October 2023 at 21.00 hours
and Friday 20 October 2023 at 06.30 hours
Friday 20 October 2023 at 21.00 hours
and Saturday 21 October 2023 at 06.30 hours
The alternative route for persons affected by the Order is
via Moor Lane, Kingsgate, Bessingby Road, Driffield Road,
Main Street and the remainder of Bridlington Bay Road.
The crossing and the road will be closed to all traffic
without exception and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 18 October 2023 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding six months or until
the works which it is proposed to carry out have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
