WHEREAS the Havering London Borough Council (the Acquiring Authority) has submitted to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation an Order made under Sections 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, which would authorise it to acquire compulsorily the land and interests within the land referred to in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of facilitating the comprehensive regeneration of the Chippenham Road site through the demolition of existing plots and the construction of 138 affordable dwellings, together with new landscaping, a community garden, informal play space and associated works.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public local inquiry into this matter will be held by Dr Roger Catchpole BSc (hons) PhD CCol MCIEEM IHBC at London Borough of Havering Town Hall, Main Road, Romford RM1 3BB at 10 a.m. on 17 November 2026. The Inquiry is estimated to last 3 days.

A copy of the Order and of the map referred to therein are on deposit at Harold Hill Library, 19a Farnham Road, Harold Hill, Romford, RM3 8ED, and may be inspected there on application, during normal opening hours.
