NOTICE OF DECISION UNDER REGULATION 30 OF DETERMINATION OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT
FH/25/1883 – Proposed development at Dungeness Borrow Pit, Dungeness, Romney Marsh, Kent, TN29 9NA.
I give notice that on 22 October 2026 Kent County Council, as County Planning Authority, granted planning permission for:
Continuation of seasonal shingle recycling operations beyond October 2026, for the purpose of recovering material used in the maintenance of flood defences at Dungeness.
The application was accompanied by an Environmental Statement and was determined as EIA development under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017.
In reaching its decision, the County Council took the environmental information submitted with the application, together with the representations and consultation responses received, into consideration. The County Council concluded that the development was in accordance with the development plan and that there were no material considerations indicating that planning permission should not be granted, subject to the conditions imposed.
