Rwyf yn hysbysu bod: Kronospan Limited

yn gwneud cais i Weinidogion Cymru am ganiatâd cynllunio mewn perthynas â Datblygiad o Arwyddocâd Cenedlaethol (DAC), sef:

Symud a lleoli seilwaith presennol mewn man newydd, ac adeiladu a gweithredu Cyfleuster Gwres a Phwer Cyfun Carbon Isel (CHP) gyda’r gallu i gynhyrchu hyd at 40 megawat (MW) o drydan adnewyddadwy a 125 MW o ynni thermol adnewyddadwy i’w ddefnyddio ym mhrosesau gweithgynhyrchu presennol cyfleuster Kronospan

NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 18 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION IN RESPECT OF DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE

Proposed development at: Land at the south-western extent of the existing Kronospan Facility, Maesgwyn Farm, Chirk, Wrexham, LL14 5NT

I give notice that: Kronospan Limited

is applying to the Welsh Ministers for planning permission in respect of Development of National Significance (DNS) which is:

Removal and relocation of existing infrastructure and construction and operation of a Low Carbon Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Facility with the capacity to generate up to 40 megawatts (MW) of renewable electricity and 125 MW of renewable thermal energy for use in the existing manufacturing processes at the existing Kronospan Facility.

Members of the public may inspect copies of:

• the application;

• the plans; and

• other documents associated with it

at: Contact Centre, Wrexham Library, Rhosddu Road, Wrexham LL11 1AU

during all reasonable hours until 27 November and, online at https://planningcasework.service.gov.wales/ - and search for CAS-03463-R2W9C2

THE APPLICATION IS ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT

Members of the public may obtain copies of the Environmental Statement from: Maesgwyn Farm, Chirk, LL14 for a charge, as long as stocks last.

Anyone who wishes to make representations about this application must write to the Welsh Ministers (details below) by 27 November 2026. All representations received will be published online as soon as the deadline has passed.
