Notice of proposed development/works at (a) The Exchange, Spring Lane, Colne 26/0675/VAR Variation of Condition: Vary Condition 2 (Plans) of Planning Permission 23/0674/FUL. The proposal is a Major Development. The proposal is adjacent to a Conservation Area. (b) Area Of Land To The East Of 7, Edge End Lane, Nelson 26/0676/FUL Technical Details Consent: Erection of 1 dwelling of Permission in Principle 23/0115/PIP. The proposal is within the Edge End Conservation Area. (c) 48 - 50 Manchester Road, Nelson 26/0679/FUL Full: Change of use from a restaurant (Use Class E) to a hot food takeaway (Sui Generis), alterations to ground floor shopfront and replacement of first-floor windows. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area. (d) Land Adjacent Heather View, Green End Road, Earby 26/0683/FUL Full: Engineering works to alter land levels and the erection of a retaining wall with fencing. The proposal is within the Earby Conservation Area.
HOUSEHOLDER APPLICATIONS
(e) 23 White Lee Avenue, Trawden 26/0687/HHO Full: Demolition of existing conservatory and the erection of a single storey garden room to rear. As this is a householder application, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage. The proposal is within the Trawden Forest Conservation Area. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Copies of the applications can be inspected during normal office hours at Number One Market Street, Nelson until 30th October 2026. Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 30th October 2026; or, a copy of the applications can be inspected on the Council’s website (
under Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, names, addresses, signatures, telephone numbers, email addresses, and personal information within the comments will not be published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
