What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997 AS AMENDED BY THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2008 (REGULATION 7(2)(B))

PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION PUBLIC MEETINGS:

REPLACEMENT BEESLACK HIGH SCHOOL

For the erection of an education campus, including high school and ASN facility, with community and sports facilities, and formation of associated playing fields and parking on land East and West of Seafield Moor Road, Bilston, Roslin.

The first of two public consultation meetings will take place on Wednesday 21st October 2026 between the hours of 3:30pm and 8pm at Beeslack Community High School, Edinburgh Road, Penicuik, EH26 0QF.

Where the applicant and their advisors will be available to answer questions and receive comments.

The proposals will also be available to view online at https://www.midlothian.gov.uk/beeslack-replacement from Thursday 22nd October 2026 until Monday 21st December 2026.

Those willing to make comments on the proposals may do so during the above event and/or in writing to BeeslackHSProject@midlothian.gov.uk no later than 21st December 2026

Please note that any comments made as part of this consultation are not representations to Midlothian Council Planning Department. An opportunity to make representations to the Council will exist when a formal planning application is made.
