We give notice that CWG Riverside Infra Devco Limited is applying to THE LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS for Hybrid Planning Permission for the following: A hybrid planning application for:
Detailed Planning Permission For: the construction of a new deck and the erection of a linked staircase and pedestrian and cyclist lift at Mackenzie Walk, the erection of a new pedestrian and cyclist lift adjacent to the Newfoundland Place Tower fronting Westferry Road, the partial demolition (levels 1 and 2) and associated external alterations to the existing Newfoundland Annex Building, and minor external and internal alterations to the Newfoundland Place Tower.
Outline Planning Permission For: Details of appearance in relation to the new deck structure, staircases and lifts, and details of landscaping and access in relation to the site.
This application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. Details of the planning application will be published to The London Borough Of Tower Hamlets' planning portal: www.development.towerhamlets.gov.uk/online-applications/, once the planning application has been validated and registered.
Any owner of the land who wishes to make representations about this application should write to: The London Borough Of Tower Hamlets at: 160 Whitechapel Road, London, E1 1BJ, within 21 days from the date of this notice and by 26th October 2026.
In the event that an appeal is made against a planning decision of the Council, and that appeal then proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations procedure, any representations made by the owner* or tenant** to the Council about this application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations. Any owner or tenant wishing to make representations should do so by the date given above.
The expedited procedure in relation to written representations is set out in Part 1 of the Town and Country Planning (Appeals) (Written Representations Procedure) (England) Regulations 2009 (S.I. 2009/452).
"owner" means a person having a freehold interest or a leasehold interest the unexpired term of which is not less than 7 years, or, in the case of development consisting of the winning or working of minerals, a person entitled to an interest in a mineral in the land (other than oil, gas, coal, gold or silver).
** "tenant" means a tenant of an agricultural holding any part of which is comprised in the land.
This notice is made by the Applicant to comply with requirements relating to the submission of an application for planning permission without prejudice to the statutory consultation that the local planning authority will undertake through a separate process.
