What is planned?

Whitelee Windfarm Repowering - Public Information Event

ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) invites you to participate in the Public Information Days on the proposal for Whitelee Windfarm Repowering. SPR intends to apply to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 following the EIA Scoping Report.

The Proposed Development is anticipated to comprise of around 124 wind turbines with blade tip heights of up to 250 metres and associated onsite infrastructure. We are committed to engaging with the community throughout the development process, to ensure local communities, interested parties and stakeholders are given the opportunity to learn about the proposal, to ask questions and provide feedback.

SPR will be hosting the first round of Public Information Days at the following three locations in October 2026:

Location: Strathaven Hotel, Strathaven, ML10 6SZ

When: October 20th & 21st from 2pm to 7pm

Location: Morton Hall, Newmilns, KA16 9DG

When: October 26th & 27th from 2pm to 7pm

Location: Eglinton Arms, Eaglesham, G76 0LG

When: October 28th & 29th from 2pm to 7pm
