Onshore Wind Development at the Port of Ipswich The public are invited to attend a consultation as part of Associated British Ports' (ABP) plans to install an onshore wind turbine at the Port of Ipswich. ABP is developing proposals for one wind turbine at the port. The turbine is intended to help reduce the cost of electricity used in port operations and support the decarbonisation of port activities. By generating renewable energy locally, the project will contribute to ABP's sustainability ambitions while helping to support the long-term competitiveness and growth of the port. How to Participate The consultation will take place across two public events: 14th October 2026 - Public Area, Ground Floor, ABP Old Custom House, Key Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP4 1BY 12:30pm to 7:30pm 15th October 2026 - Wherstead Parish Council Village Hall, The Street, Wherstead, IP9 2BJ 12:30pm to 7:30pm
