Application Ref: 26/000045/CM, Applicant: Wienerberger Ltd., Proposal: Proposed extension to clay extraction including consolidation of existing clay working, with working and restoration of land to develop an engineered landform with pond and lake features including landscaping for nature conservation, together with existing access arrangements and road crossing and haul road to Waresley brickworks, Location: New House Farm Quarry, Walton Lane, Hartlebury, Worcestershire, DY10 4JE

I give notice that Wienerberger Ltd. is applying to Worcestershire County Council for planning permission for the above proposal.

The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area in which the land to which the application relates is situated as the site is located within the Green Belt. The development may affect a Public Right(s) of Way, and the setting of a Listed Building(s).

Members of the public may inspect electronic copies of the application for planning permission, any accompanying plans, the Environmental Statement, the Non-Technical Summary and other documents submitted with the application, either online at: https://worcestershire.planning-register.co.uk or at: The Hive, Sawmill Walk, The Butts, Worcester, WR1 3PD, during all reasonable hours until 2nd November 2026. Please note visitors may need to register for a library card on arrival.

Alternatively, electronic copies of the application are available to view at: Worcestershire County Council, Wildwood, Wildwood Drive, Worcester, WR5 2QT during office hours by prior arrangement (email: DevControlTeam@worcestershire.gov.uk or telephone: 07889 172045 to make an appointment).

Members of the public may view copies of the Environmental Statement and Non-Technical Summary from the reception at Waresley Brickworks, Unit 100, Hartlebury Trading Estate, Kidderminster, DY10 4JB. The paper copies of the Non-Technical Summary can be purchased at the cost of £50 and Environmental Statement with accompanying appendices at the cost of £1,950, so long as stocks last. Appointments to view/purchase the documentation can be made by contacting Lichfields at birmingham@lichfields.uk.

Anyone who wishes to make representations about this application should write to the Council, either online using the link above or by email/post to the address at the bottom of this notice. The period for making representations about this proposal ends on 2nd November 2026. Please state whether you would wish to address the Planning & Regulatory Committee if given the opportunity.

Please note, that in the event the Council’s decision on this application is appealed and proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations’ procedure, there is normally no further opportunity for interested persons to submit comments at the appeal stage. Anyone wishing to comment on the application should do so by the date given above.
