Wellington - Consultation on Revised Plans for Appeal Against Refusal of Up to 250 Homes

NOTICE OF CONSULTATION ON REVISIONS AHEAD OF APPEAL AGAINST THE REFUSAL OF PLANNING PERMISSION UNDER SECTION 78 OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

Land South of Oldway Road, Wellington Wellington LVA is preparing an appeal against the refusal by Somerset Council of planning application reference 44/25/0013 for:

"Outline planning permission with all matters reserved, except for access, for the erection of up to 250 dwellings, public open space, ecological and biodiversity enhancements and associated works, with details of access on land south of Oldway Road, Wellington."

Additional information and amendments are proposed for submission with the appeal. These comprise an updated Flood Risk Assessment Technical Note and drainage strategy, revisions to access and active travel infrastructure including upgraded crossing facilities and junction amendments, and consequent updates to the illustrative masterplan and parameter plans. Comments received will be shared with the Planning Inspectorate and Somerset Council and may be referred to during the appeal process. Please note that this is not a consultation run on behalf of Somerset Council. There will be a separate consultation on the appeal once lodged.
