What is planned?

PLANNING PROPOSALS

SUBMITTED TO EAST DEVON DISTRICT COUNCIL,

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING

(DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) ORDER 2015

PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990

Exmouth Subdistrict

App No: 26/1840/LBC

Location: Woodbury C Of E Primary School Castle Lane Woodbury Exeter

Proposal: Replacement of existing playground fence together with additional sections and gates to complete security to playground. Fence will be stepped to accommodate slope to existing playground (re-submission of 26/0840/LBC)

Exmouth Subdistrict

App No: 26/1895/VAR

Location: Woodbury C Of E Primary School Castle Lane Woodbury Exeter

Proposal: Variation of Condition 2 (Approved Plans) of planning permission 26/0810/FUL (Replacement of existing playground fence together with additional sections and gates to complete security to playground) to allow the fencing to be raised in height and stepped to accommodate the site levels.

Exmouth Subdistrict

App No: 26/1943/TRE

Location: Beechwood 2D Cranford Avenue Exmouth EX8 2HT

Proposal: T1 - Lime, dismantle to ground level.

Justification:

The tree has a significant cavity at ground level, with extensive hollowing of the main stem extending from the base up to the point of stem bifurcation. Percussion testing using a nylon mallet confirmed a significant area of internal decay within the main stem. Assessment of the remaining sound wall indicates that the t/R ratio is below the level considered acceptable for the trees size and location.

Given the extent of internal decay, the reduced residual stem wall and the tree’s close proximity to Cranford Avenue, there is considered to be an unacceptable risk of significant stem failure. In view of the trees location to Cranford Avenue, removal is considered necessary on safety grounds.

The above applications were received this week.
