Notice of Application for Section 37 Consent for the installation of new overhead line downleads to connect the existing 4TK 400kV route into the new Wallend Substation, Isle of Grain, Kent

Notice is hereby given that National Grid Electricity Transmission plc (National Grid) intends to make an application under Section 37 of the Electricity Act 1989 for the consent of the Secretary of State at the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, for the installation of overhead line downleads from Towers 4TK6C and 4TK6B to gantry structures within the new Wallend Substation. The proposed works are required to complete the overhead line termination arrangements to connect the existing double-circuit 4TK 400kV route into the new substation.

Any person wishing to object to this application should send particulars of such objection using the reference Wallend Overhead Downleads by email to s37consents@energysecurity.gov.uk, or by post to the Secretary of State at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, 7th Floor, 3 Whitehall Place, London, SW1A 2AW.

Such objections must be received within 28 days from the latest publication date. Any such objections or representations will be copied to the relevant planning authority and the applicant unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not so be copied. If there is such a request then the relevant planning authorities and the applicant will only be informed that an objection has been made but no details will be forwarded to them
