(SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2013 AS AMENDED. Notice under regulation 7(2)(b) Pre-application consultation by the prospective applicant

Proposed development at Summerhall, 1 Summerhall Place, Edinburgh, EH9 1PL.

For proposed partial selective demolition of existing buildings and redevelopment of the site
for mixed use development comprising an arts centre cultural, community and venue spaces
(Use Classes 1A, 3, 4, 10,11); commercial leisure and food/drink, small retail (Use Classes
1A, 3, 11); commercial business space for employment/office space (Use Class 4);
hotel/leisure visitor accommodation and venue spaces (Use Class 7 with ancillary Classes 3,
10, 11); residential accommodation in a blend of Co-Living, student and apartments (sui
generis); associated amenity space, landscaping, infrastructure and ancillary works.

AMA (New Town Limited) is holding a first drop in pre-application public consultation event
on Wednesday 07 th October 2026 (3pm-7:30pm) at Summerhall, 1 Summerhall Place,
Edinburgh, EH9 1PL. This event will provide information on the proposed development and
the opportunity to provide feedback.

Persons wishing to make comments on the proposal should do so at the event, via the
project website or email address outlined above or by post to Calton Planning + Development, 10 Rutland Square, Edinburgh, EH1 2AS no later than Wednesday 21st October 2026.

A second consultation event will be held in due course, and details will be published in
advance of the event. This notice does not relate to a planning application. Any comments on these proposals are to the prospective applicant and not formal representations to the City of Edinburgh Council.

If a subsequent planning application is submitted there will be an opportunity to make formal
representations on the application to the City of Edinburgh Council as planning authority
during the statutory notification period.
