NOTICE OF INTENDED DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE LAND
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123(2A)
LAND PART OF CELTA RECREATION GROUND ADJOINING
WOODSTON PRIMARY SCHOOL, CELTA ROAD, PETERBOROUGH

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Peterborough City Council (the “Council”) intends to dispose of part of the freehold land known as Celta Recreation Ground, adjoining Woodston Primary School, Celta Road, Peterborough (the “Land”), consisting of or forming part of open space, which is more particularly described in the Schedule to this notice and shown coloured red on the plan (the “Plan”) referred to below.  

The intended disposal will be by way of a lease to facilitate an extension of the adjoining school building and school car parking area.

The Plan of the affected Land may be inspected at the reception of the Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough, PE1 1HF Monday to Friday during the hours of 9am to 5pm or may be viewed on the Council’s website at

A copying charge may be payable if copies are required.

Any person who objects to the proposed disposal should set out their objection in writing and send it to the Director of Legal and Governance and Monitoring Officer at Peterborough City Council, Sand Martin House, Bittern Way, Fletton Quays, Peterborough, PE2 8TY or by email to legal.property@peterborough.gov.uk

Any such objection must be received no later than close of business on

22 October 2026 and should quote reference: JD: 109080
