LAND OFF HALIFAX ROAD, NELSON ORDER 2026
The above order was made on 16th September 2026. The effect of the order will be to divert public footpath FP1303017 running from the rear of 172 Halifax Road, Brierfield at Grid Reference SD 8616 3652 (Point A) to a point approximately 25m N of a field boundary at SD 8617 3642 (Point B) to a line running from the southern end of an unmade lane off Halifax Road between 170 and 172 Halifax Road at Grid Reference SD 8615 3652 (Point C) to a point on FP1303017 at SD 8617 3642 (Point B), this being a point 25m N of a field boundary and the start of FP1303016 as shown on the order map. And will divert public footpath FP1306232 from a point on the path 70m from Halifax Road at Grid Reference SD 8607 3656 (Point F) to a point on the path approximately 105m from Halifax Road at SD 8604 3656 (Point G) to a new line running between the same two points as shown on the order map. A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Number One Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 7LJ from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00. Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Head of Legal Services, Borough of Pendle, Nelson Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 7LG not later than 23rd October 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Borough of Pendle may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
