Notice is hereby given that VoltalIa UK Ltd, (“the Company”) with company registration number 07489990, having its registered office at The Wheelhouse, Bond’s Mill Estate, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, England, GL10 3RF, has submitted additional information to the Scottish Ministers in relation to the application for consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) development, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), associated infrastructure, access, and landscaping at Springfield Farm (Central Grid Reference 74514 71531). The installed capacity of the proposed Solar PV generating station would be up to approximately 165 MW, and the BESS would have an installed capacity of up to approximately 80 MW. The proposed development is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an EIA Report has been produced.

The Company has also requested a direction under section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.

The Company has now submitted additional information to Scottish Ministers relating to the assessment of the cumulative effects of the proposed development together with (1) the Springfield Collector, a proposed transmission operator substation to be located at the site of the proposed development, and (2) an onward transmission connection from the Springfield Collector to the Branxton Substation, located approximately 1km to the north-west of the proposed development.

A copy of the additional information, together with the EIA Report submitted in support of the application, will be available from 28 September 2026 for public inspection in person, free of charge, during normal office hours at:

Copies of the additional information may be obtained from ERM (springfieldsolarfarm@erm.com) at a charge of £1750 per hard copy and £15 on a USB storage device.

All previous representations received by Scottish Ministers in relation to the application remain valid.

Any person who wishes to make representations on the additional information should submit these to the DPEA by email, quoting application reference BES-210-1, to claire.murray2@gov.scot.

All representations should be received not later than 30 October 2026. The consideration of any representations received after this date will be a matter for the appointed reporters.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the Company will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations on such information will be accepted as per this notice.

Following examination of the environmental information, Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways:

• consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or

• reject the proposal
