What is planned?
Northumberland County Council
has received and is required to publicise the following planning applications for the reasons stated below:
Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015. APROW affecting a public right of way - Article 15(2). Planning
(Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.
Reason: LBC Listed Building Consent - Regulation 3, ALB affecting the setting of a listed
building - Regulation 5A.
26/03194/FUL, Historical Railway Estate (on behalf of Department for Transport), Temporary access to the river/channel will be provided, including vegetation clearance where required. The working area around Bridge Pier 3 will be dewatered using temporary works, including a temporary watercourse diversion via upstream and downstream bagwork cofferdams and a PVC pipe (or suitable alternative) to maintain flows. Riverbed and bank materials will be excavated to formation level, followed by installation of a geotextile layer and rip-rap protection around Pier 3. The rip-rap will be backfilled and tied into upstream and downstream bed levels using reinstated site-won material, with bed levels reprofiled to provide a smooth transition over 2m.
