Notice under sections 18(1)(a) and 18(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended by the Planning (Scotland) Act 2019), regulation 10 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Planning) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 and section 16 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.
East Renfrewshire Council has published its Proposed Local Development Plan (LDP3) for consultation.
The Proposed Plan sets out the spatial strategy, policies and proposals that will guide development and the use of land across East Renfrewshire to 2037 and beyond. Once adopted, LDP3 will form part of the statutory development plan and will be used in the determination of planning applications.
An Environmental Report has been prepared as part of the Strategic Environmental Assessment process. The Environmental Report assesses the likely significant environmental effects of the Proposed Plan.
The Proposed Plan, Evidence Report, Environmental Report and Delivery Programme can be viewed online from 29th September 2026 at: www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/ldp3
Documents are also available for inspection during normal opening hours at: East Renfrewshire Council headquarters at Eastwood Park, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, G46 6UG; Council Offices at 211 Main Street, Barrhead; and at all local libraries (during normal library opening hours).
Representations on the Proposed Plan and supporting Environmental Report may be submitted during the 12-week consultation period ending on 22 December 2026.
