Bessbrook Mill complex. Works to the Mill complex and
associated structures within its curtilage include for:

- Partial demolition and removal of the existing weaving

- Alterations and part removal of the existing boundary
wall along Derrymore Road, with a fixed metal railing
installed within the opening between the piers to
replicate the historic gateway.
- Existing Building Ruin to the Western aspect of the Mill
Complex to be retained and incorporated into the
communal open space of the Mill Complex.
- Demolition of the existing British Legion building.
The provision of a total of 48no. new-build residential
dwellings and the provision of a total of 219no.
apartments of which 165no. are to be provided within the
existing Mill building which is to be refurbished and
adapted to facilitate the residential use with associated
works including for provision of an additional storey to
the Mill building. The Mill building is also to incorporate 6
Nr. Commercial Office units, along with provision of a
Gym.
The development will also include the provision of a
storage building, a refuse/waste storage building in
addition to a temporary wastewater treatment works
(WWTW). Associated site works will include provision of
car parking, connection to existing services, provision of
internal access roads along with ancillary site landscaping
works.
