Notice of Intended Disposal of Public Open Space
Notice is hereby given for the purposes of Section 127 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as extended to public open spaces via Section 126(4)/123(2A) that Heckington Parish Council intends to dispose of a piece of land held by the council which includes an area consisting of public open space.
The land concerned, Heckington Pavilion and Playing Fields is located off Howell Road, Heckington.
The intended disposal will be by way of a 30-year lease to Heckington Pavilion and Playing Fields Charitable Incorporated Organisation for the purpose of enhancing facilities to make them available to all for many years to come.
A plan identifying the exact boundary of the land for disposal can be viewed online via the Parish Council’s website at

In accordance with statutory procedures, any person who wishes to object to the proposed disposal of the open space land must submit their objection in writing, stating the specific grounds for their objection.
Objections must be addressed to: Heckington Parish Council, Parish Council Chambers, St Andrews Street, Heckington, NG34 9RE or by email to clerk@heckingtonparishcouncil.gov.uk
All submissions must be received by no later than 14 October at 5.00pm.
