Notice is hereby given that E Power Limited, ("the Company") with company registration number 04625938, with its Registered Office at 6th Floor 17a Curzon Street, London, England, W1J 5HS, has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Back Fell Wind Farm, located near Straiton KA19 7QS within the planning area of South Ayrshire, (Grid Reference E235551, N610181). The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be approximately 62MW comprising up to 10 turbines with a maximum ground to blade tip height of 200 metres, and including battery energy storage of up to 30MW and ancillary infrastructure. The total capacity is 92MW. The proposal has been subject to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). An EIA Report has been produced to accompany the application for consent.

The Company has also applied for a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.

The Company has now submitted Additional Information to Scottish Ministers, which includes an Addendum to the EIA Report providing an appraisal of the potential grid route of the wind farm.

Copies of the Additional Information may be obtained from the Company via email; epower@turnkeydev.com at a charge of £150 for a hard copy and £10 on a USB storage device. A hard copy of the Non-Technical Summary is available free of charge.

All previous representations received by Scottish Ministers in relation to the application remain valid.

Any new representations on the additional information may be submitted via www.energyconsents.scot, using the relevant Project Name and/or ECU reference number. Please note that you must be in possession of a working email address to submit a representation virtually.

If you would prefer to submit your representation by post, please send to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Written representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations.

All representations should be received not later than 26th October 2026, although Ministers may consider representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the developer will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, they can cause a public inquiry to be held.

Following examination of the environmental information and all views and representations received, Scottish Ministers will determine this application for consent in one of two ways:

• Grant consent for the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or

• Refuse the proposal
