NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION

Proposed development at: Barham Quarry, Sandy Lane, Barham, Ipswich IP6 0PB

Application No: SCC/0123/26/MS

I give notice that Brett Aggregates Ltd is applying to Suffolk County Council for planning permission for the following development:

Proposal: Southern extension to Barham Quarry for sand and gravel extraction with associated export of sand and gravel, restoration using imported materials, associated site infrastructure, highway works, drainage works, demolition of an agricultural barn and construction of a replacement barn.

The proposal does not accord with the provisions of the Development Plan in force in the area in which the land to which the application relates is situated.

The proposal would affect a right of way to which Part III of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 applies namely Barham BR 17.

The proposal affects the setting of a listed building(s) namely Grade I Listed Church of St Mary and Grade II Listed Garden Wall and Gateway, Parallel and Adjacent to Church Lane and 20 North of Barham Hall.

The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement. Members of the public may obtain copies of the Environmental Statement from Cubo, Standard Court, Park Row, Nottingham NG1 6GN, while stocks last, at a charge of £250 for a paper copy or £25 for a CD-ROM.
