NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015
KCC/SW/0121/2026 & KCC/SW/0122 – Proposed development at Sweeep Kuusakoski, Gas Road, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 2QB.
Sweeep Kuusakoski is applying to Kent County Council Planning Applications Group for planning permission for:
i. Application KCC/SW/0121/2026 – Relocation of the existing engineering workshop facilities to an existing building located north of Gas Road; the repurposing of the current workshop building, including an increase in roof height to create a two-storey structure and provide additional internal waste processing capacity; the installation of additional covered waste storage facilities; provision of a new staff welfare area, water storage tank, installation of a gated vehicle barrier underneath the western Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway bridge at the junction between Gas Road and Mill Way, a battery charging facility (retrospective), fencing (retrospective), cycle parking, landscaping, drainage, and associated ancillary works.
ii. Application KCC/SW/0122/2026 – Section 73 application to vary conditions 4 (Throughput), 6 (Parking and Storage), 8 (HGV Movements), and 11 (Vehicle Parking Area) of planning permission SW/17/505136 for a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) recycling facility, to enable an increase in annual waste throughput and permitted HGV movements and amend the vehicle parking arrangements.
The proposed development to which this application relates is situated within 10 metres of relevant railway land.
