Notice is hereby given that Energiekontor UK Ltd, (“the Company”) with company registration number 03830819, with its Registered Office at 114 St Martin’s Lane, London WC2N 4BE has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known Strath Oykel Wind Farm approximately located approximately 4km southwest of Rosehall within the planning authority area of the Highland Council. (Grid Reference: 244300, 898500). The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be approximately 72.6MW comprising of
up to 11 turbines with a ground to blade tip height of 200 metres, and battery energy storage facility (“BESS”). The proposed development is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an EIA Report has been produced.

The Company has also requested a direction under section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.

The Company has now submitted additional information (also referred to as Additional Information (“AI”)) to Scottish Ministers, which includes information relating updates to the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Traffic and Transport Assessment, and provides a potential grid connection corridor.

Copies of the AI, the application, with a plan showing the land to which it relates, together with a copy of the EIA Report (“the information”) discussing the Company’s proposals in more detail and presenting an analysis of the environmental implications, including proposed grid connection are available for public inspection in person, free of charge, during normal office hours at:

All previous representations received by Scottish Ministers in relation to the application remain valid.

Any new representations on the additional information may be submitted via
www.energyconsents.scot, using the relevant Project Name and/or ECU reference number – ECU00003246. Please note that you must be in possession of a working email address to submit a representation virtually.

If you would prefer to submit your representation by post, please send to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Written representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations.

All representations should be received not later than Monday 26th October 2026 although the Scottish Ministers may be able to consider representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the developer will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

• Following examination of the environmental information, the Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways:
  consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or
• reject the proposal
