Consultation on the proposal to Close St
Teresa’s Nursery – PUBLIC MEETING

Dumfries and Galloway Council have agreed to consult on the proposal for the closure of St Teresa’s Nursery.

In accordance with the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010, Dumfries and Galloway Council now wishes to seek views on this proposal from interested parties. The consultation period runs from Thursday 10 September to Friday 6 November 2026. A public meeting will be held to discuss the proposal, anyone with an interest in the proposals are invited to attend.

Tuesday 22 September 2026 6pm – St Teresa’s RC Primary School, Dumfries

(C112N MILTON WATER OF CAIRN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C112n Irongray Road from the junction of U226n, Newbridge from 0800 to 1700 on 22/09/26.

The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement. Alternative route available via C112n, C100n, C11n, B729, C136n, C47n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U3N THE GROVE NO.3) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U3n between No.80 and No.88 The Grove, Heathhall, Dumfries. At this time, parking will also be suspended between No.80 and No.88 (both sides) from 0800 on 23/09/26 to 1700 on 27/09/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate lead failure renewal. Alternative route available via U3n, A701 and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U22N DUNCOW – WHITEHALL - QUARRELWOOD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2026

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U22n at The Lilacs, Kirkmahoe, Dumfries from 0800 to 1700 on 22/09/26. The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. Alternative route available via U22n, U3n, C11n, C22n and vice versa.
Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
