2026/0006/TPO: St Athan House, Lochard Road, Aberfoyle, Stirling, FK8 3TD. Two oak trees are located in the garden area of St. Athan House, Lochard Road, Aberfoyle at the southern edge of a large native oak woodland. Although not open-grown specimen trees they form an important and clearly visible part of the woodland edge, contributing to its visual character, cohesiveness and transition to open ground. The woodland edge is clearly visible to members of the public travelling along the B829.

Loss or substantial reduction of the trees would adversely affect the character and visual continuity of the woodland edge, reduce their buffering function for the adjoining designated woodlands; a Tree Preservation Order will prevent this from occurring. It is therefore expedient in the interests of amenity to make that provision.
