Planning Application for the Change of use of Mariner’s Home (Class 8) to residential flats (sui generis) including alterations and rear extensions to the existing building, associated enabling development comprising a mixture of residential town houses and residential flats within the grounds of the Mariner’s Home, formation of new pedestrian and vehicle accesses to the site, and associated parking, landscaping and servicing infrastructure (major development).
A public consultation "drop-in" event will be held in the Small Hall of the Lyle Kirk, 31 Union Street, Greenock on Wednesday 16th September 2026 from 4:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. Project architects will be available to describe and answer queries relating to the proposal. Additional details concerning the proposed development are available by email from Nicholson McShane Architects at info@nicholsonmcshane.co.uk Comments relating to the proposal can also be submitted using this email address. Comments made at this pre-application stage are not representations to the planning authority at this stage (such representations can be made following any resultant application to Inverclyde Council).
