TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990,
SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
PRESTON CITY COUNCIL
(FOOTPATH FP0602091 AND FOOTPATH FP0601069)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026
The above Order was made on 3 September 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to:
(I) divert footpath FP0602091 from a point on the eastern side of Tanterton Hall Road, roughly midway between The Avenue and Sheraton Park, running in an east north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 25 metres where it meets footpath FP0601069;
(ii) divert footpath FP0601069 from the point it meets footpath FP0602091 running in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 185 metres to meet the unaffected part of footpath FP0601069 ; and
(iii) create an alternative footpath following the course of planned estate roads commencing from a point on the eastern side of Tanterton Hall Road, roughly midway between The Avenue and Sheraton Park, where it curves in an easterly direction then continues to run in a north-easterly direction as it then continues to curve in a north easterly direction and then continues to curve in an east north-easterly direction where it then continues running in a northerly direction to meet the unaffected part of footpath FP0601069 as shown on the Order map.

Alternatively, a copy may be seen free of charge at the Contact Centre, Preston City Council, Town Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 2RL from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday. A copy of the Order and Order map may be purchased for £1.00.
Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Director of Resources (Legal Services LAS//WK/019889), Preston City Council, Town Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 2RL not later than 9 October 2026. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Preston City Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
