I GIVE NOTICE THAT that the following application is being made to the Council of the Borough of North Tyneside:

Land at Killingworth Moor, to the west of the A19, and to the south-east of Killingworth Lane – APPLICATION NO: 23/00395/FULES
Northumberland Estates is/are applying for planning permission for: Hybrid planning application: Full planning permission for 414no. residential dwellings (Use Class C3), a local centre (Use Class E) and a primary school (Use Class F1) with associated infrastructure and landscaping; and Outline planning permission (all matters reserved except access) for up to 48,564sqm of commercial space (Use Class B2 and/or Use Class B8 and/or Use Class E(c) and/or Use Class E(g)) and a secondary school (Use Class F1), and A19 Underpass improvement works, with associated infrastructure and landscaping (amended plans and information August 2026). The application is being advertised as it involves major development. The development proposed would affect a right of way to which Part 3 of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 applies. It is considered that the development proposed may affect the setting of a listed building.

The application is accompanied by an environmental statement. The environmental statement, plans and documents are available to be viewed online via public access at www.northtyneside.gov.uk.

The submitted plans and associated documents are available to view on the Council’s Planning web site at www.northtyneside.gov.uk. If you wish to make representations about the application you should do so in writing within 30 days (excluding bank holidays) of the publication of this notice to the Planning Service at the address shown at the end of this notice.
