TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

HALTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
(FOUNDRY LANE WIDNES) PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER NO.1

The above Order was made on 27th August 2026. The effect of the Order shall be to stop up and extinguish any rights of way in the parcels of land set out in the Schedule below.

A copy of theOrder and Order Map may be seen free of charge at Halton Borough Council Municipal Building Kingsway Widnes Cheshire WA8 7AQ during usual business hours. Copies of the Order and Order Map may also be viewed on the Council website www.halton.gov.uk. Copies of the Order and Order Map will also be obtainable from the council offices on request although a reasonable charge may be made for this service.

Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Director of Legal and Democratic Services Halton BCMunicipal Buildings Kingsway Widnes WA8 7AQ not later than 3rd October 2026 (quoting the reference)`Foundry Lane/AS/257)'. The representation or objection should make clear the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Halton Borough Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If representations or objections remain the Order shall be sent to the Secretary of State for Housing Communities and Local Government for confirmation. Any representations or objections not withdrawn shall be sent with the Order.

SCHEDULE

Parcel 1

FOOTWAYS- With amaximum width of 20m and a maximum length of 30m

Stopping Up of highway from a point A (Grid Ref. 349,180 384,457) of highway verge which extends in a generally westerly direction for approx.18m to a point B (349,170 384,469) before extending northeast for an approx. distance of 24m to a point C (349,178 384,491) and east for an approx. distance of 9m to a point D (349,186 384,487). At this point from the extent of its easterly trajectory the footway then extends south for approx. 30m returning to point A.

Parcel 2.

Stopping Up of highway footway from a point E (Grid Ref. 349,213 384,480) of highway verge which extends in a generally westerly direction for approx.18m to a point F (349,198 384,486) before extending northeast for an approx. distance of 26m to a point G (349,206 384,509) and east for an approx. distance of 22m to a point H (349,219 384,492). At this point from the extent of its easterly trajectory the footway and a small section of carriageway then extends south for approx. 18m returning to point E.
