Notice is hereby given that Forsinain Forest Wind Farm Limited, (“the Company”) with company registration number 15292512, having its registered office at Stirling Square, 5-7 Carlton Gardens, London, United Kingdom, SW1Y 5AD has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a generating station known as Forsinain Forest Wind Farm (“the proposed Development”) on land approximately 3 km north of Forsinard and 16 km south of Melvich in Sutherland in the local planning authority of the Highland Council (Central Grid Reference 291034 E, 945644 N). The installed capacity of the proposed Development would be approximately 86.4 MW comprising up to 12 turbines, 10 with a maximum ground to blade tip height of 219 m and 2 with a maximum ground to blade tip height of 206 m. The proposed Development is subject to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and an EIA Report has been produced to accompany the application for consent.

The Company has also applied for a direction under section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the proposed Development be deemed to be granted.

A copy of the application, with a plan showing the land to which it relates, together with a copy of the EIA Report discussing the Company’s proposals in more detail and presenting an analysis of the environmental implications, is available for public inspection in person, free of charge, at:

The EIA Report can also be viewed on the application website at www.forsinainforestwindfarm.co.uk; or on the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit website at www.energyconsents.scot under application reference ECU00004935.

Copies of the EIA Report may be obtained from the Company (email: info@forsinainforestwindfarm.co.uk) at a charge of £1,750 per hard copy and £10 on USB. Copies of a Non-Technical Summary are available free of charge.

Any representations to the application may be submitted via www.energyconsents.scot, using the relevant Project Name and/or ECU reference number. Please note that you must be in possession of a working email address to submit a representation virtually.

If you would prefer to submit your representation by post, please send to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Written representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations.

All representations should be received not later than Wednesday 7th October 2026. Scottish Ministers may be able to consider written representations received after this date.

Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the Company will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.

Where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, they can cause a public inquiry to be held.

Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways:

• Grant consent, with or without conditions attached; or

• Refuse the proposal.
