Proposed planning application for the Importation of inert material to enable improved restoration of Pitstone Quarry with enhanced landscaping and biodiversity measures, and to create a new outdoor recreation resource, with a network of footpaths, open water swimming lake, welfare units, and car parking facilities, for use as Suitable Alternative Natural Green Space (SANG). At Pitstone Quarry, Upper Icknield Way, Pitstone, LU7 9HA.
Please note this proposed application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement as it constitutes EIA Development. This can be purchased in hard copy from the applicant for a fee of £200 or can be inspected in electronic form at the offices of Tring Town Council at Market House, 61 High Street, Tring, Herts HP23 4AB 9:15 - 14:45 Monday - Friday or 10:00 - 13:00 Saturdays. Please note this application proposes development within the Green Belt. All submitted application documents are available to view online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/planning (PL/0426/24). Comments can be submitted through our website, or alternatively you can post them to Spatial Planning Unit, CHN216, Robertson House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST, not later than 23 September 2026.
