PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981, SECTION 53A(2)

(Moulsoe Footpaths 14 (Part) & 15 (Part) & Newport Pagnell Footpaths 7 (Part) & 8 (Part)) Diversion Order 2026
On the 20th August 2026, Milton Keynes City Council confirmed the above stated Order without modification
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert 176 metres of Moulsoe Footpath 14 running from OS Grid Reference 487966 242672 (Point B) to OS Grid Reference 488096 242554(Point C). A new length of Public Footpath will travel from OS Grid Reference 488080 242701 (Point I), then in a south south easterly direction for 77 metres to OS Grid Reference (Point J), then in a generally south south easterly direction for 42 metres to OS Grid Reference 488114 242589 (Point K), then in a south westerly direction for 38 metres to OS Grid 488096 242554 (Point C).
The length of the new route will be 157 metres and will have a width of 2 metres.
Will also divert 55 metres of Moulsoe Footpath 15 running from OS Grid Reference 488190 242729 (Point E) in a south easterly direction for 55 metres to OS Grid Reference 488222 242685 (Point F). A new length of Public Footpath will travel from OS Grid Reference 488222 242685 (Point F) in a westerly direction for 122 metres to OS Grid Reference 488103 242665 (Point M), then in a southerly direction for 38 metres to OS Grid Reference 488103 242628) (Point J). The length of the new route will be 150 metres and will have a width of 2 metres
Will also divert 26 metres of Newport Pagnell Footpath 7 running from OS Grid Reference 487946 242690 (Point A) in a south easterly direction for 26 metres to OS Grid Reference 487966 242672 (Point B). A new length of Public Footpath will travel from OS Grid Reference 487946 242690 (Point A) in an east north easterly direction for 101 metres to OS Grid Reference 488038 242734 (Point G), then in an easterly direction for 24 metres to OS Grid Reference 488063 242738 (Point H), then in a south south easterly direction for 42 metres to OS Grid Reference 488080 242701 (Point I). The length of the new route will be 167 metres and will have a width of 2 metres
Will also divert 25 metres of Newport Pagnell Footpath 8 running from OS Grid Reference 488176 242750 (Point D) in a south south easterly direction for 25 metres to OS Grid Reference 488190 242729 (Point E). A new length of Public Footpath will travel from OS Grid Reference 488176 242750 (Point D) in a west south westerly direction for 74 metres to OS Grid Reference 488104 242732) (Point L), then in a north westerly direction for 83 metres to OS Grid Reference 488038 242734) (Point G). The length of the new route will be approximately 157 metres and will have a width of 2 metres

Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be purchased at the price of £3.00 by writing to Legal Services, Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Office, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, enclosing a cheque made payable to Milton Keynes City Council. This Order comes into effect on the date on which Milton Keynes City Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the Order have been complied with, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of that Order, they may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
