SSEN Transmission are developing proposals for the development of a new purpose-built office building, known as Lerwick House.

As the electricity network across the north of Scotland is growing, this project is required to meet changing energy demands and support the transition to a low-carbon future. Lerwick House represents an investment in the people who plan, operate, and support the electricity network.

We are therefore consulting on proposals to construct this office space to the north of Perth, to create a workplace environment that is safe, inclusive and supports staff wellbeing and modern ways of working, as well as organisational needs as the network continues to develop.

This public event represents the second and final consultation event, where we will share any updates to our proposals, and our responses to feedback received during the consultation period. After this, there will be an opportunity to provide final feedback on the proposals until 9 September 2026.

Any comments made to us as the Applicant are not representations to Perth and Kinross Council as the planning authority. There will be opportunity to make formal representations to the planning authority following the submission of the planning application.
