I give notice that on the 6th May 2022, Tritax Symmetry Ardley Ltd (“Tritax”) submitted an application for planning permission (“the Application”) to Cherwell District Council (“the Council”) of 39 Castle Quay, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 5FD.

The Application relates to land at OS Parcel 6124 East of Baynards Green Farm, Street to Horwell Farm, Baynards Green.

By the Application, Tritax sought outline planning permission (all matters reserved except means of access (not internal roads) from B4100) for the erection of buildings comprising logistics (Use Class B8) and ancillary offices (Use Class 6(g)(i)) floorspace; energy centre, HGV parking, construction of new site access from the B4100; creation of internal roads and access routes; hard and soft landscaping; the construction of parking and servicing areas; substations and other associated infrastructure (“the Proposed Development”). The application was accompanied by an Environmental Statement.

On 21st January 2026, the Council, as local planning authority, refused the Application.

On 5th March 2026, Tritax appealed to the Secretary of State against the Council’s decision to refuse to grant planning permission (“the Appeal”).

As part of the Appeal, the Environmental Statement for the Proposed Development has been updated by Tritax through the provision of an Addendum Environmental Statement Dated June 2026 (“the Addendum ES”). The Addendum ES consolidate the previous addenda to the Environmental Statement (from February, September and November 2025); provided relevant updates in respect of matters arising since the determination of its application; and ensure all cumulative impacts with other development are captured.

Full details of the Appeal may be inspected during normal office hours at the Council Offices, or through the Council’s website via the Online Planning Service https://planningregister.cherwell.gov.uk/Planning/Display/22/01340/OUT. The Addendum ES is available to view online at https://planningregister.cherwell.gov.uk/Planning/Display/22/01340/OUT. This will be available to view during the period of 30 days beginning with the date of this notice (20th August 2026) and ending on 19th September 2026.

The Addendum ES is also available to view at Cherwell District Council, 39 Castle Quay, Banbury, OX16 5FD between the hours of 8.45am-5.15pm Monday to Friday inclusive during the period of 30 days beginning with the date of this notice and ending on 19th September 2026.

Members of the public may obtain copies of the Addendum ES by prior appointment from Framptons, Oriel House, 42 North Bar, Banbury, OX16 0TH (telephone number 01295 672310) the costs for which is £10. Copies may be obtained from this address so long as stocks last.

Representations made to the Council will be passed to the Planning Inspector who has been appointed to determine the Appeal.
