Notice is hereby given that Ditcher Law Limited, company registration number SC738462 with its Registered Office at 1 c/o Turcan Connell, Princes Exchange, 1 Earl Grey Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9EE, has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Ditcher Law Wind Farm (“the Proposed Development”), located near Lauder, Scottish Borders, TD2 6RB. In the Scottish Borders Council Area, (Central Grid Reference Easting 349687, Northing 656017). It will have a generating capacity exceeding 50MW. The Proposed Development is subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). An EIA Report has been produced to accompany the application for consent.
Ditcher Law Limited has also applied for a direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the proposed Development be deemed to be granted.
Ditcher Law Limited has submitted Additional Information to the Scottish Ministers, which includes an Addendum to the EIA Report as a result a requirement to include and assess the potential grid route of the wind farm. The proposal remains unchanged as per the previous Additional Information (2025) and consists of 8 turbines, 5 up to 200m tip and 3 up to 180m tip, BESS and ancillary infrastructure.

If you would prefer to submit your representation by post, please send to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Written representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations.
All representations should be received not later than 23rd September 2026. The Scottish Ministers may consider representations received after this date.
Any subsequent additional information which is submitted by the developer will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations to such information will be accepted as per this notice.
As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, they can cause a public inquiry to be held.
Following examination of the environmental information and all views and representations received, Scottish Ministers will determine this application for consent in one of two ways:
Grant consent for the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or
Refuse the proposal.
