Notice is hereby given that on the date 27 July 2026 Westminster City Council made The City of Westminster (Stopping Up of Highways) (No.5) Order 2026 order under sub-section 247 (2A) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 the general effect of which is to authorise the stopping up of a 2.15 square metres area of the highway Savile Row to enable development to be carried out at the premises West End Central Police, 27 Saville Row, London W1S 2EX.
The development comprises an alteration to the alignment of the ground floor external wall of those premises, in Savile Row near to Boyle Street.
The part of the highway that the order authorises to be stopped up extends between zero and 0.45 metres from the north-west most 1.04 metres length of the external wall of the Savile Row frontage of the Building that is 0.99 metres south-eastward from the general linear building line of Boyle Street and then extends by 0.45 metres from the next 4.17 metres south-eastward external wall of the Building;
The order and plan identifying the location of the highway authorised to be stopped up may be inspected free of charge between 11am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, during a period of six weeks from the date of this notice. Any person aggrieved by the order who desires to question the order's validity may make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Act within six weeks of the date this notice is first published.
This notice is given pursuant to section 252 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
Westminster City Council granted permission for the development under part three of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 on 20 December 2024.
