FOOTPATH N53 LAND SOUTH OF GRANGE ROAD HUGGLESCOTE
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2022
On 16 July 2026 North West Leicestershire District Council confirmed the above Order without modifications.
The effect of the Order as confirmed will be to DIVERT the section of public footpath N53 within the Parish of Hugglescote & Donington Le Heath and the District of North West Leicestershire running from the point marked A on the plan, situated at grid reference SK 43605 12335 in a generally North North-Westerly direction for a distance of approx. 141 metres to point B on the plan at Grid Reference SK 43568 12451 then continuing in a generally North North-Easterly direction for a distance of approx. 9 metres to point Con the plan at Grid Reference SK 43575 12477 as shown on the Order map.
The alternative footpath will instead extend from the point marked A on the plan, situated at Grid Reference SK 43605 12335 in a generally West North-Westerly direction for a distance of approx. 17 metres to point D on the plan, situated at Grid Reference SK 43588 12337 then continuing in a generally North North-Easterly direction for a distance of approx. 102 metres then continuing in a generally North North-Westerly direction for a distance of approx. 44 metres then continuing in a generally North North-Westerly direction for a distance of approx. 22 metres to point C on the plan at Grid Reference SK 43575 12477 as shown on the Order map.

Rights of Way Diversions – North West Leicestershire District Council
This order comes into force on the date on which North West Leicestershire District Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within six weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
