TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (South West) (No.16) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a northern part width of Turners Court Lane comprising its highway verge at Binegar, Radstock in Somerset. This is to enable development as permitted by Somerset Council under reference 2025/1789/HSE.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO9087109). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Mendip District Council, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5BT.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 20 August 2026.
