The re-development of Pakefield Hall and surrounding land to provide temporary accommodation for Sizewell C workers in the form of 57 studios and 61 lodges. Key existing buildings will be retained and refurbished, and amenity spaces provided for residents, including a 5-a-side pitch and enhanced landscaping.

The scheme will offer:

  • Reduced pressure on the local housing market, avoiding the need for further loss of rented housing stock or the creation of HMOs
  • Protection of existing tourist sites and hotels which would otherwise be used to house workers.
  • Enhancements to landscaping and biodiversity.
