The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (East) (No.17) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of an irregularly shaped area of unnamed highway as lies off Salesbury Drive at Billericay, in the Borough of Basildon. This is to enable development as permitted by Basildon Borough Council under references 22/01464/FULL and 25/01620/VAR.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FO or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/E/S247/6345). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Billericay Library, 143 High Street, Billericay, Essex, CM12 9AB.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 14 August 2026.
