Back Bridge Street and Francis Street, Castleford - No Waiting at Any Time

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND ON STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016) AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 ORDER 2026 BACK BRIDGE STREET (BETWEEN BRIDGE STREET AND FRANCIS STREET) & FRANCIS STREET, CASTLEFORD

The Council of the City of Wakefield, in exercise of powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made the above Order, the effect of which in relation to Back Bridge Street
(between Bridge Street and Francis Street) and Francis Street, Castleford, is to vary the Council of the City of Wakefield (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions And Street Parking Places) (Consolidation Order 2016) by:-

1. Introducing lengths of No Waiting at Any Time, Permit Holders Only (Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm) on the following roads:-
• BACK BRIDGE STREET (between Bridge Street and Francis Street)
• FRANCIS STREET

The order comes into force on the 14th August 2026. A copy of the Traffic Regulation Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed on the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the
Order was made (ie. 10th August 2026) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
